Srujana boston Committe is conducting the Webinar for "Hands on Clay Ganesh making  Webinar" under the hood of Srujana Woments Committe on  August 20th ,at 8 pm EST.

Here are the Details:

We will be making a 10inch Ganesh idol.

List of items we would need -

•Terracotta Clay (Natural Earth Clay) 8-10lbs • Water (in two big bowls) • Wooden Skewers (that we use for grilling) - 5 pieces • Toothpicks - 25 pieces • Butter Knife - 1 • 3 Recycling Boards (6inches x 8inches) • 2 Aluminum Foil sheets - 10inchesx12inches • Disposable White Forks - 2 • Round tip painting brushes (used for Art) - size 2 and size 6 • Rolling Pin - 1 • Scissors - 1 • All purpose Glue

5 ways to decorate Lord Ganesh (Can pick any one theme of your preference or more)

• Chana dal 1 cup, Whole Green Moong Bean 1 cup, Husked Whole Urad Dal 1/2 cup • Split Cashew Nuts 1 cup , Golden Raisins 1/2 cup, Almonds 1/4 cup, Pumpkin Seeds 1 cup • Acrylic Paints (Gold, White, Black, two more colors of your choice) one small bottle each • White Naamam - 2 sticks, Sri Gandham  Powder - 1 bottle • Gold and Silver Rhinestones 10mm , Colorful Rhinestones, Flat back Pearls, Sequins (12mm) 1 pack each (1 pack usually has 5000 pieces)

Notes :

1. Please knead your clay with few drops of water half hour before the demo. This will help clay to be pliable and save our time during the demo.

2. Keep a roll of paper napkins and a few wipe cloths handy

3. Layer your work space/table with cling wrap/parchment paper/wash cloth. This will help you with easy clean up after.
